8 Reasons Why You Should Be using Google+

Google+ is a great social network to use personally and as a business. There are 1.15Billion registered users and regardless of your business sector, you will be missing out on potential customers if you do not use Google’s social later. Still not convinced? Here are 10 reasons that may change your mind.

1. The best social network for SEO

Google+ is the best social network for your business in terms of SEO and it’s obvious why. If google; the largest search engine in the world has a social network for you to use for free, why wouldn’t you? Google will rank your business based on your keywords and what people are searching, therefore if someone usesgoogleto search for products based on your keywords, your Google+ business page will come up over and above everyone else because google+ is Google’s product.

2. They are Online Experts

Google hold an awful lot of weight in the online world and because of this, any google product is scrutinised by users in a negative way initially, but this does ultimately give google all the RIGHT data to improve their platform which they have done. When Google+ first came out, I will be the first to put my hand up and say I didn’t like the network. They spent endless hours perfecting the platform and making it user friendly. You can always trust that Google+ will be leading innovation in the online world should new technology become available.

3. Unique Build

The way Google+ is built is different to any other social network. Yes, you could say they are all different however Google+ has been built from a community perspective and thats what makes Google+ worth using. They have not only taken a risk with building a completely different social network but in doing this, they have succeeded in creating a network that is B2C and B2B.

4. Integration with Other Google+ Services

A great reason to use Google+ is that all you have to do to log in, is to already be connected to your gMail account. This makes it a lot easier for you to post on the network and we have all forgotten our password to social networking sites but with Google+ you don’t need to worry about this. Just don’t forget your gMail password! Also, you can easily switch between all Google applications very easily, all from one centered place.

5. Google Hangouts

Google Hangouts are one of Google+’s unique features that makes the social network so powerful. The ability to even run a webinar/skype type meeting inside of a social network is something that hasn’t been thought of before which is why it is such a great tool. Google+ have built their platform with businesses in mind which is why you, as a business need to be on this social network.

6. No Advertisements

As Google+ currently stands, there are no adverts showing on the social network. This however will change as Google will follow suit and include advertisements however they are working hard on making sure that these are very targeted so that you, as a user are seeing only what would interest you based on your profile.

7. Safer Sharing

Google+ allows you to share information a lot more selectively than any other network. When you Tweet, the whole world sees it, even those who aren’t following you however with Google+ you can choose to share information with just your network.

8. Less Users = Lighter Network

Google+ has a lot less active users than the likes of Facebook and Twitter which makes the network interface a lot lighter. Just because there are less users, it doesn’t mean there is less of an opportunity for you to find customers because this couldn’t be further from the truth as Google+ will be used by professionals and not those just looking to use social media for connecting with friends and family.
